The Paxman Photography March 2014 appearance on local TV | Open For Business

In March the Pinetop Chamber of Commerce offered me to come along and appear on the local TV program about local businesses call "Open For Business". I shortened the video to portion that includes my appearance and included it below just in case anyone besides my mom wants to check it out.

I've been working on incorporating video more into my photography sessions lately. Grant and Kayleen were the perfect couple to really push this idea to a new level. This video features some short video clips combined with stills from the engagement portrait session to create a really beautiful montage piece. I hope you love it as much as I do.

Chesney's Senior Portrait | Pinetop Arizona Senior Portrait Photographer

We had an excellent senior portrait session with Chesney a couple of weeks ago. I'm pretty sure the temperature was in the 30's but we all were brave and ended up make some great images. I finished editing Scott Struve and Rebecca Spendlove Struve 's wedding image tonight and had the greatest time reliving their beautiful wedding through the images that we made. Jennifer is one of my closest friends from high school and I was honored and privileged to photograph her wedding. I had done an engagement session with Jim and Jen a year before their wedding and it was just so much fun we were all laughing the entire time so I knew photographing their wedding was just going to be a blast.
They exchanged vows during a a candle lit ceremony at FireSky Resort in Scottsdale and it was so beautiful.

This is just a sneak peak at Jim and Jen's wedding images as there will certainly be more to come later....but....James and Jennifer chose to see each other before their ceremony. We took this "first look" opportunity to make something special.

Blaire + Jaylen | Mesa Arizona Temple Wedding Photographer

It was so much fun to be with these two on their wedding day and especially a few days before when we did some of their wedding portrait work.

I made a little slideshow of the first set of images that we took together at the temple. Something I have been wanting to do for a while was to stage the "first look" and capture the moment in image. Jaylen arrived at the temple a few minutes early and was hanging out with me on some of the steps on the East side. Once Blaire arrived I coordinated her approach with her mom by cell phone and the following video is what happened. I hope you like:

The reception was great, and among the many decorations and special touches was this table covered with pink and green candies to match the wedding colors.

Canon rules...

Ok, I have NEVER done this on my blog. I have never posted a goofy video...other than the ones I have made myself, but I am so busy editing today that I know I won't be able to get a real post up.
This will probably only be funny to camera/gear nerds like myself but it made me laugh so I thought I would share cuz I know a few shutterbugs stop by my little corner of the web from time to time.

I know alot of people that have photoshop and have no idea how to use it. This is an effect that is super simple. If you watch closely you should have no problem replicating on your own pictures.
